International Summer School 2020

International Summer School 2020 "Delightful Serbia: Empower & Inspire" is an event organized by Department of Industrial Engineering and Management of Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Belt and Road Institute-Serbia and EduNS.

University of Novi Sad is a former Secretariat of China - CEEC Higher Education Institutions Consortium (2017-2019) within 17+1 Mechanism of the Belt and Road Initiative. Due to more than 36 signed contracts and agreements with Chinese universities, numerous jointly organized events, both in China and Serbia, strengthening academic ties between the universities from CEEC and China, participation in organisation of bilateral and multilateral meetings and intensive cooperation that continuously strengthens especially through people-to-people bonds, University of Novi Sad was awarded by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) as:

This summer, we will be offering an 8 days long program aiming to familiarize students from China with delightful Serbia, and to empower and inspire them for their future carrier development. This program will run online for summer 2020 due to COVID-19 and we will return to Novi Sad in 2021. Students will have access to synchronous lectures by our instructors, reading material, videos, and discussion forums on the digital learning platform. We will also post visual and textual materials about Novi Sad and Serbia to help students learn about our magical city and Serbian culture. Through this we aim to facilitate intercultural awareness and learning, and important soft skills, which will enhance students' employability in the future.

International Summer School 2015

NEW SILK ROAD LINK TOUR

In July 2015, participants from Donghua University in Shanghai attended Summer School "New Silk Road Link Tour". Summer School was aimed to promote cultural exchange, strengthening people-to-people bonds and economic cooperation between China and European countries as a part of Belt and Road Initiative.
Summer School courses included Serbian language, European and Serbian History, Business Intelligence, Web content Management Systems and Innovation management and entrepreneurship. Participants also took part in several workshops and visited companies where they had a chance to see how different theoretical concepts become alive and how applied ideas change our environment. After interesting lectures, we all took well-deserved brakes for field trips to local touristic attractions and to enjoy Serbian national cuisine specialties. Exit festival, besides great music and atmosphere, also offered participants a chance to be a part of performance called "Exit connects people". The visitors of the festival had the opportunity to experience various aspects of Chinese culture and find common places that represent the intersection of different cultures. After the great time in Serbia, they embarked on a new adventure and visited Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia and Italy, spending some time at Szeged University and Wekerle Business School in Hungary, as well as University of Vienna and University of Graz in Austria. Summer School ended where it started, in Novi Sad. We had a goodbye dinner and said farewell to our new friends hoping that we will all meet again to expand our academics horizons and experience new memorable moments.
